Some of the powers allowed are as follows: To provide spiritual, financial and practical assistance to the Christian church in Africa and to organisations and groups which further the Christian faith in Africa. To promote and facilitate Christian education, to provide and support educational courses and events, to supply, print, publish, disseminate and otherwise make available Bibles and Christian literature and materials of all kinds in any form or medium. To encourage and assist welfare activities and projects supported or promoted by or undertaken through Christian churches, groups and organisations. To raise funds and to invite and receive contributions from any person or persons whatsoever, by way of subscription, donation or otherwise; provided that this shall be without prejudice to the ability of the Company to disclaim any gift, legacy or bequest in whole or in part in such circumstances as the Company may think fit and provided also that the Company shall undertake such trading activities in raising funds, for the above mentioned charitable objects as may be permitted by law. To establish and support or aid the establishment and support of any charitable trusts, associations or institutions and to subscribe or guarantee money for charitable purposes in any way connected with or calculated to further any of the objects of the Company. To do all or any things hereinbefore authorised either alone, or in conjunction with any other charitable organisation, institution, society or body with which this company is authorised to amalgamate. The Company is governed by all the objectives stated in the Memorandum and Articles of Association and all its business is to be conducted accordingly. In addition there are other policies and guidelines, which may be introduced by the ‘directors and trustees’ of the Company/Charity, which are deemed necessary to assist in the smooth running of the Charity and to ensure the safety and security of all those involved in the execution of tasks associated with it. |
